Non-woven Fabric Equipment - Screw Extruder The screw extruder is a widely used basic equipment in polymer processing and an important device in the production lines of spunbond and meltblown non-woven fabrics. The basic working principle of the screw extruder: Solid raw materials enter the feed section of the extruder from the feed inlet and are pushed forward as the screw rotates. During this process, the heat energy provided by the heating device, the shear heat generated by the rotation of the screw itself, and the changes in the volume of the screw groove continuously compress the raw materials, generating strong friction that leads to continuous heating. This causes the raw materials to transform from a solid state to a highly elastic state, and finally to a molten viscous state of polymer melt. Under the thrust of the screw, the material is extruded from the die head at a certain pressure. The screw extruder mainly consists of the screw and barrel, drive device, heating and cooling devices, and electrical control system.
